Editor’s Note: A Season of Shift and Stillness

As autumn deepens and the light softens, I find myself reflecting on the rhythm of change — in nature, in art, and in life. The turning of the seasons always brings a quiet invitation to pause, to listen, and to realign. This year, that invitation came loud and clear.

October’s Introductions online exhibition was a beautiful success. I felt deeply honoured to share the space with three other talented artists, each bringing their own voice and vision. It was a joy to be part of something so collaborative and rich.

For me, this exhibition marked a departure from the usual. I presented just two pieces — both deeply personal and unlike anything I’ve done before.

Still Loving You was a poem and installation expressed through Morse code — a tender, emotional work that challenged me in ways I didn’t expect.

A Time to Speak was a digital piece inspired by the tension between silence and expression.

Both works stretched me creatively and emotionally, and I’m grateful for the space they opened.

Circles & Semi Circles — coming this December

While Introductions was unfolding, I was quietly working behind the scenes on my next collection: Circles & Semi Circles. But as the pace quickened, I realised I needed to step back. The weight of too many things at once was beginning to take its toll. So, I made the decision to postpone the launch until December — and I’m so glad I did.

This extra time has allowed me to finish pieces with the care they deserve. The collection explores spiritual symbolism, emotional movement, and the quiet power of form. I can’t wait to share it with you.

After Circles & Semi Circles, I’ll be taking the whole of January off. I need space to breathe, reflect, and dream forward. I already feel the stirrings of new projects — and I doubt it’ll be just one!

One project I know I’ll begin is Discarded — a concept that’s lived in my heart for years. It’s time.

Social media update

I’ll soon be deleting my Facebook account. Engagement there has dwindled, and honestly, I no longer feel aligned with the platform. Instead, I’ll be focusing on:

  • Instagram — for visual storytelling and updates
  • YouTube — for deeper reflections and behind-the-scenes content
  • My Website — the central hub for exhibitions, writings, and future projects

Thank you for walking this journey with me. Whether you’re a fellow artist, or a quiet observer — your presence matters. Let’s keep proclaiming art, in all its forms.

With warmth, Christine Eltherington Founder, Proclaiming Art
