Founder, Artist, and Curator of Proclaiming Art
Hi I am Christine Eltherington the founder and creative force behind Proclaiming Art, an independent platform dedicated to bringing artists and audiences together through online and community exhibitions. My vision blends artistry and curation, transforming each project into a space where creativity, story, and spirit meet.
Overseeing every stage of Proclaiming Art’s journey — from planning exhibitions and working closely with artists, to designing visuals, managing digital content, and curating the overall experience. My approach is hands-on and heartfelt, ensuring each exhibition communicates authenticity and connection.
At the core of my work is a deep belief in the power of art to speak, to listen, and to inspire. Through Proclaiming Art, I continue to build a community where creative expression is both celebrated and shared.
Exhibition Work
"I've been involved in various exhibition projects between 2007 and 2020, showcasing work in venues such as Emmanuel Church Art Space, the Holy Biscuit (as part of an art collective), in 2020, participating in an online exhibition with Breaking Ground Art." For more on my exhibition work please see Proclaiming Art Exhibitions at the top of this page.
Grunge Art
"I’ve recently discovered grunge art and I’m really enjoying exploring it. I’ve just completed my first piece in this style, titled The Land of Fire & Wild Ways. Creating it felt like free-falling—completely intuitive and flowing with the moment."
Small Abstract Work
"I really enjoyed creating this collection of small abstract works, using a limited colour palette and a simple set of tools. They'll be available soon in the online shop."
