From Botanical to Bold: Introducing Jo Littlejohn

Every so often, you meet someone and feel an instant creative connection. That’s exactly how it was when I met Jo Littlejohn last year. We got talking—about art, of course—and when I discovered she was an artist too, I was thrilled. As anyone who knows me can attest, I’m always delighted to meet fellow artists, especially those with a shared love for nature and detail.

Jo’s work left a lasting impression on me from the start. Her botanical paintings are nothing short of exquisite—so intricate, so patient, and so peaceful. As someone who adores flowers and all things gardening, I was naturally drawn to her style. Her art captures not just the form of flowers, but their quiet beauty. I knew almost immediately that Jo would be a perfect fit for our Proclaiming Art Autumn Online Exhibition. When I asked if she’d consider joining us, she said yes—and I couldn’t have been happier.

Alongside her botanical work, she’s beginning to explore abstract art, venturing into unfamiliar but promising creative territory. It’s always inspiring to watch an artist evolve, and I can’t wait to see what emerges from this next chapter of her journey.
