Planning, Becoming, and the First Steps Forward
January often arrives quietly, but this year it carries a sense of movement.
As Proclaiming Art steps into 2026, I find myself both reflecting and planning — holding what has been, while gently opening space for what is becoming. There is a renewed clarity around the direction ahead, and a growing excitement about what lies just beyond the horizon.
In the coming months, Proclaiming Art will host more curated exhibitions, creating opportunities for artists to share work that is thoughtful, process-led, and rooted in integrity. This spring, the next chapter of Arc of Becoming will unfold — a season shaped around growth, transition, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward creatively.
Alongside exhibitions, I will begin interviewing artists — listening more deeply to their stories, their processes, and the quiet truths that shape their work. These conversations feel important. They remind us that art does not emerge in isolation, but through lived experience, faith, doubt, perseverance, and hope.
January also marks the beginning of something deeply personal.
I am starting to walk out the dream of the Proclaiming Art Creative Hub — a physical space for gallery exhibitions, artist studios, and community gathering. The search has begun for the right building, in the right location. It is early days, but the intention is clear: a place rooted in welcome, creativity, and purpose; a space where artists can work, meet, reflect, and belong.
This season feels less about rushing and more about faithful steps — listening carefully, planning wisely, and trusting the process. Proclaiming Art has always been about making space: for artists, for creativity, and for hope. Now that space is beginning to take shape in new and tangible ways.
These are exciting times — not because everything is certain, but because the journey has begun.
