Art Classes

Artist Journal — February

A new month, and something quietly brave is happening: I’m bringing my dreams into the open.

This February feels like a turning point. I’ve booked my first art class—Abstract for Beginners—and just writing that still gives me a little flutter. March 11th is the date, and it feels real now. Even more exciting, I’ve already had a few inquiries. Tiny confirmations that this thing I’ve been carrying inwardly is ready to step out into the light.

There’s another class in the wings too, one with a group, and I’ll be setting that date soon. It’s shown me something important: it’s one thing to talk about dreams, but it’s another thing entirely to set them in motion. Action changes everything.

I spent three full days organising materials—collage papers, marker pens, oil pastels, acrylic paper in all sorts of sizes. I realised how much I love this part of the process: the planning, the ordering, the quiet preparation that says this matters. It felt devotional in its own way.

One of the greatest joys is that my sister, who is also an artist, will be part of this journey with me. I’m so grateful for that—sharing creativity, encouragement, and vision side by side.

I’m really looking forward to meeting the people who will attend, to holding space for them, and to witnessing beautiful creations come to life. You’ll be able to see what we make over on my Instagram page, and I can’t wait to share that unfolding.

Here’s to many more steps, many more moments of courage, and to walking—steadily and honestly—towards dreams fulfilled.
